Measurement of plasticity of coal is performed according to procedures described in norm ASTM D 2639 - 90. During the test, a dependence of rotation of agitator, which is placed in a retort with a measured coal, on temperature is measured. During a measurement, the agitator is exposed to a constant torque, which is exerted in a propeller unit by a hysteresis brake.
Tests are performed in a temperature range from 300 to 600 ˚C. To comply with the measurement procedure, it is necessary to follow all the steps defined in the norm ASTM D 2639 - 90.
The measurement is controlled automatically using an enclosed software.
